Angelina Miers Vocal Night
Wednesday November 26th
Angelina Miers (formerly Angelina Kolobukhova) is a Minsk-born vocalist who discovered her passion for jazz at age 8 under the guidance of teacher Veronika Yanovskaya, drawing early inspiration from legends like Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Jill Scott. As a young performer, she competed internationally across Europe and the CIS and released her first single, Off the Road, at 17. That same year, she moved to the U.S. on a scholarship to Adelphi University’s Honors College, ultimately graduating summa cum laude with degrees in Jazz Studies and Cognitive Neuroscience.
Since then, Angelina has appeared in the Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency, performed at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival, and taken the stage at top NYC venues including Birdland, Ornithology, and Melody’s Piano Bar, while collaborating with Sofar Sounds, NPR Live, the Hartford Jazz Society, and the New Brunswick Jazz Project. A 2024 and 2025 finalist in the Ella Fitzgerald Competition, she recently toured Europe with the JM Jazz World Orchestra led by Luis Bonilla, and is currently based in New York City, performing, teaching, and working on her debut album.
