Jacob Chung is a New York–based jazz saxophonist, composer, and bandleader known for his deep command of swing, vibrant tone, and modern straight-ahead artistry. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Chung has quickly become a compelling voice across North American jazz stages as both a leader and sought-after sideman.
Chung has shared the stage with jazz luminaries including Joe Magnarelli, the John Pizzarelli Big Band, Peter Washington, Rodney Green, the Mingus Big Band, Pasquale Grasso, Ari Roland, and Joe Farnsworth. His festival appearances include performances with the Betty Carter Jazz Ahead program and prestigious invitational events such as the Oregon Coast Jazz Party.

A 2024 Best Female Vocalist winner at the Cleveland Music Awards, a YoungArts finalist, and a multiple DownBeat Student Music Award winner, she’s performed at prestigious venues including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and Birdland. Currently pursuing her Master’s in Jazz Voice at The Juilliard School, Ava brings soulful expression, deep musicality, and storytelling to every performance.

Tenor saxophonist Simon Mogul is a rising voice on the New York jazz scene, blending a deep reverence for jazz tradition with a bold, contemporary edge. Originally from Miami, Mogul draws inspiration from icons like John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins while crafting a sound that feels fresh, expressive, and forward-thinking. He has performed alongside jazz luminaries including Curtis Lundy, Matt Wilson, Arturo O’Farrill, Phillip Harper, and Charu Suri, appearing at premier NYC venues such as Smalls, Birdland, Minton’s Playhouse, and The Django. In 2025, Mogul received a South Arts Foundation grant to tour nationally in support of his debut album, released February 2025. Beyond the bandstand, he is a dedicated educator and mentor, serving as an ensemble coach at City College of New York and working with formerly incarcerated individuals through the Music on the Inside organization.

John Lee is a towering figure in jazz whose deep groove, musical wisdom, and decades-spanning career have made him one of the most respected bassists in the genre. An American bassist, Grammy Award–winning record producer, composer, and audio engineer, Lee has performed with many of jazz’s greatest legends and continues to shape the music’s future through performance, education, and artistic leadership. In 1984, Lee joined the legendary Dizzy Gillespie as his bassist, a role he held for nearly a decade, performing in bands such as the United Nation Orchestra and Gillespie’s big band ensembles. At the request of the Gillespie family, Lee later became the artistic director and bassist of the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars, the All-Star Big Band, and the Afro-Cuban Experience, keeping Dizzy’s boundary-breaking spirit alive on stages around the globe. IA Grammy Award winner for his work as recording engineer and producer on Jazz Batá 2, Lee’s influence extends far beyond performance — he has produced over 70 albums and engineered more than 100 recordings.
